25 days until Christmas! Here’s some easy inspiration to help you set a festive and cozy holiday table.
I’ll have the 🇵🇭 and 🇺🇸 links of all the products at the end of this blog, and I’ve arranged them in the order I applied them to keep everything organized.

Step 1: Start with a clean table.

Since ours is glass, I’m using a homemade glass cleaner—way safer than those store-bought ones that can be full of harsh chemicals.

Step 2: Lay the foundation.

First, add a table runner. I’m going for something classic and understated to let the other elements shine. For the centerpiece, you can use a mix of candles, greenery, or a small festive arrangement—just make sure it doesn’t block anyone’s view across the table.

Step 3: Layer your placemats.
These Christmas fern placemats add a touch of nature and a festive pop of green that ties the whole look together. They also create a nice contrast with the plates.

Step 4: Add dinnerware.
Place a dinner plate as the base, then layer it with a salad plate on top. This creates dimension and sets the stage for a lovely dining experience.

Step 5: Add the cutlery.

Before setting the cutlery, ensure it’s polished and free of watermarks. Forks go on the left of the plate, while the knife and spoon go on the right. The dessert spoon should sit above the plates.

Step 6: Fold the napkins.

Now, for my favorite part… Napkin folding! This Poinsettia napkin fold is so easy to do, and I think kids will love helping you create this festive detail!

Step 7: Final touches.

For the center of the napkin, add a small ornament or an acorn.

If you’re feeling creative, you can even add a personalized charcuterie with a handwritten place card in the center of the napkin, like I did before.

Step 8: Set the glasses.

The glassware goes to the top-right of the plate. Place the water glass first, then the wine glass if you’re using one.

Step 9: Lighting Options

For a centerpiece, I’m using battery-operated tea light candles that flicker just like real ones. They’re safe and add such a cozy vibe. You could also use rechargeable lamps with adjustable lighting or tall taper candles for a more dramatic, elegant look. It all depends on the atmosphere you want to create—warm and intimate or bright and lively!

And that’s it! I hope this gives you some ideas to make your table magical for the holidays. Let me know if you try this out— I’d love to see it!

As promised, here are the links to the items I used! Simply tap on the thumbnails below.

Please note: The placemats, table runner, and centerpiece are older pieces from Pier 1 Imports and Crate & Barrel in the US, and many of the other items, like the plates, are also from years ago. However, I’ve included similar options below for your convenience! Be sure to check the details and reviews of each product, as these are just comparable alternatives.
