So if you’re looking for a way to streamline your mornings while still enjoying delicious waffles, keep reading!
1. First, mix up a batch of your favorite waffle batter, pour it onto a hot waffle iron and cook until it’s perfectly golden brown.
Homemade Waffles Recipe
1 1/8 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1.5 Tablespoons Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Large Egg
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
* Preheat your waffle iron maker
* In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
* In a medium bowl beat the egg. And add the vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
* Add the egg yolk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
* Pour the batter onto your hot waffle maker and cook according to manufacturer’s directions
* Serve immediately with butter, syrup, powdered sugar or any other favorite toppings.
*No time to make it from scratch, I’ll be sharing my favorite waffle mix below.
2. The next step is to let them cool down to room temperature on a sheet pan or plate. Once they’ve reached room temperature, place them in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. This will help them freeze evenly and make it easy to store them in a ziplock or reusable food bag in the freezer.
3. When it’s time for breakfast, all you have to do is pop a frozen waffle in the toaster or toaster oven until it’s heated through. If you want it to be soft and fluffy, you can also microwave it for 15 to 30 minutes.
The result? Delicious, homemade waffles that are ready in just a few minutes!
